Marlène è una bellissima e inquieta artista francese che esprime il suo talento creativo dipingendo, con il corpo nudo, una tela bianca appesa in un casolare. La ragazza è fuggita dal suo paese d’origine insieme a sua sorella Sophie, che cerca di starle sempre vicino e la sostiene giorno dopo giorno. Il loro passato è segnato da un terribile segreto…
Le due sorelle si nascondono in un mulino in mezzo alla campagna, mangiano ciò che trovano, si lavano nel fiume. Una mattina, i frammenti della memoria riemergono nella mente di Marlène. Mentre la giovane dipinge con il corpo la sua tela, la verità viene alla luce: Marlène è stata vittima di una brutale violenza fisica proprio dal suo più grande amore. Eppure, il passato sembra non volerla lasciare in pace e torna a cercarla…Un’oscura presenza maschile inizia a pedinare le due sorelle …Fino a quando, la “presenza” entra nel mulino e aggredisce di nuovo Marlène, tentando di violentarla…Ma questa volta non la farà franca… Alla fine, Marlène s’immerge nell’acqua del fiume per purificarsi e per ritrovare se stessa, perchè “tutto continuerà a scorrere, come l’acqua del fiume”.

Marlène is a beautiful and restless French artist who expresses her creative talent by painting, with her naked body, a white canvas hanging in a cottage. The girl has fled from her home country with her sister Sophie, who tries to stay close to her and supports her day after day. Their past is marked by a terrible secret…
The two sisters hide in a mill in the middle of the countryside, eat what they find, wash in the river. One morning, fragments of memory resurface in Marlène’s mind. As the young woman paints her canvas with her body, the truth comes to light: Marlène was the victim of a brutal physical violence just from her greatest love. Yet, the past seems not to want to leave her alone and returns to look for her… A dark male presence begins to follow the two sisters … Until, the presence… enters the mill and assaults Marlène again, trying to rape her… but this time she will not get away with it… In the end, Marlène plunges into the water of the river to purify herself and to find herself, because everything will continue to flow, as the water of the river will.

CRISTALLO (2017)

“Cristallo” racconta la storia di due donne : Elena e Sofia come se fossero due specchi, due sentieri tortuosi che s’intrecciano per caso in un Pronto Soccorso, dove le piccole coincidenze ci accompagnano attraverso un viaggio visionario. Elena è stata aggredita dal suo compagno ma non ha il coraggio di confessarlo, Sofia lo capisce e prova ad aiutarla…Ma, in realtà, anche Sofia nasconde un grande segreto, legato proprio ad una situazione di violenza subita tempo prima…In questo “spazio del racconto”, il cortometraggio cerca di indagare sui meccanismi che scattano quando si compie o si riceve un atto di violenza, andando a scavare nei meandri della mente di chi esegue, o è vittima, di un’aggressione in un rapporto di coppia.“Cristallo”, infine, si pone, tra gli obiettivi principali, quello di sensibilizzare e di far riflettere l’opinione pubblica sulla violenza celata tra le mura domestiche, una piaga sociale molto attuale, che sfocia, ogni giorno di più, in quello che viene chiamato “femminicidio”.

It tells the story of two women : Elena and Sofia as if they were two mirrors, two winding paths that intertwine by chance in an emergency room, where small coincidences accompany us through a visionary journey. Elena was attacked by her partner but does not have the courage to confess, Sofia understands and tries to help her… But, in reality, even Sofia hides a great secret, linked to a situation of violence suffered long before… In this space of the story, the short film tries to investigate the mechanisms that take place when you make or receive an act of violence, going to dig into the depths of the mind of those who perform, or are victims, of an aggression in a relationship. Finally, ‘Cristallo” is one of the main objectives of raising awareness and making public opinion reflect on the violence concealed within the home, a very topical social scourge, which results, every day, in what is called ‘feminicide’.
